The St. Lawrence County Center for History & Culture has partnered with the Empire Archival Discovery Cooperative (or EmpireADC), to help make our Finding Aids available to researchers!
This state-wide initiative also includes finding aids from a wide range of repositories such as The Met, Cornell University, several SUNY schools, as well as smaller historical associations, libraries, and archives across the state.
So far, our first two finding aids added to this project are for SLCCHC’s Family Files and Published Genealogies, and each of these Finding Aids also includes a link to our Collection Guide/Surname Index which makes it possible for researchers to see each and every name or surname in either collection. Since these are two of our most heavily used and highly recommended archival collections, they are the perfect starting point for any researcher!
Here, you will see all recently added collections and can click the “View all of our Collections” button on the bottom-righthand corner to discover each and every Finding Aid the SLCCHC has uploaded thus far. From there, just click on any title of a collection of interest to learn more!
