The St. Lawrence County Center for History and Culture’s Online Silent Auction runs from October 18 to November 8. This year, the auction will be held on 32 Auctions. To bid on any of our items, you must create an account with 32 Auctions. If you already have an account, make sure you log in to bid.
If you have any questions, please contact Megan Royce at engagement@slcha.org or (315) 386-8133.
Money raised during this initiative will support our general operations and community, such as funding educational programming, school tours, and archival operations. We thank you for your continued support!
How the Auction Works
Similar to eBay, all auction items will have a “Buy It Now” option and an option to bid. If you want to secure your items, you may use the “Buy It Now” option to win the items immediately.
For the bidding formating of the auction, you may bid at any time or you may also use “Proxy Bid” on the auction. Choosing “Proxy Bid” allows you to place a “maximum bid” on an item and 32 Auctions will automatically bid up to that amount for you.
All participants in the auction will automatically receive outbid notices via e-mail, so be sure to watch the e-mail attached to your account during the auction.
32 Auctions will notify you via e-mail if you win an auction item or use the “Buy It Now” feature. An invoice will be sent once you have one or purchased an item. Some items allow for e-mail delivery while others must be shipped or picked up in person at 3 East Main Street, Canton, NY 13617.
Shipping costs are estimated to the best of our ability. If an item you purchase has a final shipping cost different from what was invoiced, winners will be notified to discuss options.
St. Lawrence County Center for History & Culture Staff will begin to process all auction purchases starting November 9. Items will be ready for pickup at 3 East Main Street, Canton, NY 13617 starting on November 13. Items scheduled for e-mail delivery will be sent within 48 hours of confirmed payment. Items that need to be shipped will be processed and shipped out by the end of November.
